Looking Forward to the Weekend
We are very excited about this weekend, not only does B have the weekend off which is a rare occasion, but we are going home to Springfield to see our family! We are heading up there Saturday and spending the day at my sister C's, she is having a "get together" at her house and my cousin Kelli will be there also, then Sunday we are all hanging out at mom's with Aunt Lisa, which I am very excited about! Mom and dad won't be there, they are going to TN to visit dad's friend Chuck which will be a good thing for them to do something alone anyway...that's right, Dom and Tony will be home with us too! Monday we are heading to Lindsey's house in the morning, maybe have lunch with them, let the kiddos play and see my niece Isabelle who keeps changing more and more every picture I see. ( I can't wait until I can live closer) So we are excited! I will take lots of pictures!!

Busy Weekend

Well it has been a few days since I checked in, so Friday night we took the girls to the big Union County Fair...it was a muddy mess from the 2 inches of rain we got on Thursday, but the girls rode rides, had corn dogs, cotton candy and orange shake ups! They had fun! Brad and I went on a dinner date Saturday night since it is a rare occasion that we get to spend time together without children. We went to Texas Roadhouse and ejoyed our dinner! Sunday Brad took the girls to his mom's to go swimming while mommy stayed home and studied....:(
School has been going well for both A and I, A was very stubborn last week, she isn't real into the learning to read, and told me "I will just learn to read when I get big", "I don't know how to read" , " I don't want to read". So we had a long week, to put lightly, the first night of homework she wouldn't even try to sound the words out...and she knows how, she would just look at me and throw out random words without even looking at the page.......wow! Then after 2 hours of this drama I told her she could go to her room and work on it and she would not be watching any TV or playing until her homework was done. Twenty minutes later she asked me if I wanted her to read me the book.......she opened the book and read the whole thing.........when she finished and I praised her for her good work, I asked her why she just didn't read it 2 hours ago so we didn't have to go through all the drama and she said........................"because I told you I didn't want to read it then." Lord Help Me!

Just thought I would give a little update....unfortunately my no smoking, no caffeine, RN cirriculum was not such a good idea....so still no caffeine! I haven't had any now for 3 days....starting to get some headaches, but I can handle it. Well as far as the smoking goes, wow, Day 1 was pretty tough, but I did it. Day 2, I stumbled...I only had 2 for the day, so that is good. I have decided that I need to gradually decrease off the cigarettes. Too many things going on right now to stop everything cold turkey and increase my stress level...feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment, so I will quit, just a little slower than I wanted.
Well today is A's first full day of school, she looked so cute this morning, she was a little cranky, but she was fine once we left. So just spending the morning getting my stuff ready for my two classes today and hanging out with T this morning until my class at noon.
The dance instructor called lastnight, the girls will start ballet and tap lessons Labor Day Week! They are excited! Now we get to go shopping for ballet and tap shoes! Well need to get some stuff done, check back soon!

Avery First Day of School

Well my baby starts 1st grade today! Wow! I can't believe she is already in 1st grade! I remember starting 1st grade. She is ready and excited I think, she may be more excited about her outfit she is wearing, but I think she is excited about school too:) especially since I told her she will have her own desk to put her school supplies in. She was like "what? my own desk?" She only goes for a short time today, but then full day tomorrow! How exciting!

New Beginnings
Well yes, today is the day, lots of changes happening! I am getting ready to go back to school as we speak, but I had a few minutes so I thought I would blog real quick. So yes, our new schedule will start today with school and the girls and back to the babysitters etc.. so why not add a few other things right? So here they are...I have decided that I am done smoking and done drinking caffeine. WOW! For those of you who know me this is a big thing...especially the caffeine! So anyway, I may be crabby for a bit, but I will probably be too busy to even think about it! I will also be working out every morning before starting my day! Brad gets up at 4am, so I am having him wake me up so I can workout and then get my day started! It is all about being healthy! I am excited about it! Wish me luck!

Day with Daddy!
Today we spent the day with daddy! B actually got up and made breakfast for him and and A. T wasn't feeling well, so her and I slept in a bit this morning. How nice! What a great hubby! I appreciate it!
Later B wanted to take the girls for a ride in his work truck to see if it was running well. We took the girls to a creek that B used to play in when he was little. It was so funny, the girls are so much a mix of us both, they had their cut off jean shorts on and Hannah Montana T-shirts and then had their pink water shoes and their purses with their sunglasses! It was cute!
The girls had a great time! They were catching frogs and trying to catch minnows and having all kinds of fun! We spent about 2 hours out there and then we came home and grilled out! It was nice spending the day all together!
Tomorrow mommy starts school! A starts on Tuesday! It's time to get back in the grind!

We are proud of you Dominick!!!
Short Visit

Well Thursday the girls and I went up to my mom and dad's. They really enjoy going up there, they miss them so much! On our way up Avery asked me if we could just move close enough to "gramma Shelle" so we could not have to pack our bags everytime, could we just move close enough to walk to her house, haha! Hopefully when I am done with school that will be our plan, at least closer to them.
Anyway, we got to see my new niece Calynn, she is a "tiny princess" her features are so small, but she has the longest fingers I have ever seen...I think her thumb is longer than mine is right now! The girls couldn't get enough of her. Tinley LOVES babies so she wanted to kiss her and hold her all night. We also got to see my nephew Cameron, he is my little buddy! He is so sweet. Cameron and the girls are blessed to have two older uncles that have a Nintendo Wii, so all night Camo and the girls played boxing and bowling....I love this machine! It keeps them moving and keeps them busy! Awesome! Yes, we got to see C and J too, C looks awesome! She doesn't even look like she just had a baby! She always looks great!!!! She seems to be feeling good too! I am very happy for her!
Friday we sat outside and visited and the girls played hopscotch...well tried to, they had fun! Mom and I visited and enjoyed the nice weather, Dominick came home and told us that he made the golf team! I am so proud of him!!! I can't wait to see how he does! So mom and I and the girls went and had lunch in town and then we went to the craft mall for a bit before I had to head back home :(
We really enjoyed our time up there and it never fails, everytime I leave I get choked up and as we were leaving my mom waved out of her window and I told the girls gramma was waving and Tinley said "mommy are you crying? it's okay mom, I miss gramma already too!" How sweet! I can't wait until we can move closer to my family! All of them! I miss them tremendously!
Unfortunately we didn't get to see my sister Lindsey and her little monkeys Tristan and Isabelle. I hate that we didn't get to see them, little Izzy is growing so fast and I hate missing out on how quickly she changes! Hopefully we will get to go up there on Labor Day weekend and daddy can go with us!
Lastnight we got Brad a truck, a used one, but we just needed something for him to have for work that gets good gas mileage. His truck now just guzzles the gas, so this was more practical, and if it is just for work then that will work just fine. I told him he could get a new one after I get done with school :) He is working 2 hours away from home, and may be taking on a job here soon that he may have to drive to everyday, so this will cost a whole lot less! YAY!
After we got home from driving 8 of 24 hours, Tinley kept saying her belly hurt...I just figured it was from being in the car so much or something she had eaten....well unfortunately she was sick all night with diarrhea and vomiting! So needless to say her and I slept in the living room on the couches :( She is feeling much better this morning...thank goodness!!
Brad is off today...his first full weekend off now in 2 months, so we are going to enjoy our time together today! Maybe go swimming and grill out!

My Mom

As a mother of two daughters 4 and 6, sometimes our days get very dramatic. "A" has started to push to see just how far she can get with her sassing or telling me what she is or is not going to do, she is learning quickly that mommy doesn't tolerate it. The girls are very close in age, they are only 18 months apart, so you can imagine how much bickering we have here at the Trammel home. Some days it seems to be non-stop, you know....don't touch me....she hit me...she stuck her tongue out at me....she said she doesn't like my outfit....she said I'm a bad sister.......etc...... there are days when I feel like pulling my hair out! :) We get through it, but wow if this is a prelude to teenage years......well I don't want to think about it.
The different stages that we go through makes me think about me and my siblings growing up.....yeah, I have two children to referee......my mom had five....no way!
I listen to my girls play and argue and it is like listening to me and my sisters all over again...sometimes I have to laugh..
I just have to say that I admire my mom for what a great job she has done with all of us (of course not just my mom, my dad too, but for those long summer days, and the out of school days...while dad was at work) I only hope to be as good of a mom as the mom that I have!
Our Lives

Well I guess it is my turn to start a blog (as I have been told from my sister Lindsey). I enjoy reading both of my sisters blogs and seeing new pictures of my nieces and nephews, so I guess I need to do the same. So, I will start off our blog by telling you a little bit about all of us and what is going on.
Mom- keeping busy with my family always, getting ready to go back to school next week to finish my RN. Can't wait! Ready to be done.
Dad- working very hard two hours away from home, taking on the load from now till May when I finish school. (what a great husband!) He is working 6 days a week 10 hour days, so our time with daddy right now is on Sundays and Saturday nights!
A- Wow! She has really changed a lot this summer, she is getting ready to start 1st grade. I can't believe it! She is 6 going on 16...well her attitude anyway! :) She is quiet and shy like her daddy, but strongwilled and stubborn like her mom (did I say that?) She will be starting dance lessons this September and she is looking forward to that! She is a great big sister and mommy's good helper!
T- My little monkey! She is 4 yrs old but reminds me everyday that she is my baby....she is funny! She has a thick Southern accent that cracks my family up! She is in Pre School this year and is not happy about that, but she doesn't turn 5 until December, so one more year of preschool. She is a lot like her mommy, talkative and friendly, but looks more like her daddy. She keeps us laughing.
So I will do my best to stay on top of this blogging and sharing our lives with you. I hope you enjoy reading our blog!
